We are speculating that Ufone is working on a Voice Chat Portal to be launched in coming weeks. We don’t know much about the pricing and features of this service – yet, we are expecting that Service will allow Ufone users to Chat anonymously with each other – Meaning that they will connect with each other with their IDs, once connected, users will be able to share talk to each other and so on (Definitely they will be able to share their contact numbers, once they are connected).
We hope that service charges for this service will not go too high. as this service is going to be a hit amongst youngsters. We have seen anonymous SMS chat before in Pakistan cellular market, however, this would be first Voice Chat Portal.
Lets wait for more details to come regarding this in coming couple of weeks.
Ufone seems to be in a hurry to come up with these services without making sure they have the necessary licenses for them! CASE IN POINT: The UFone Blackberry for Pre-Paid customers, which has been shut down by the PTA because of a lack for licence.
I still like Warid and Mobilink for their services chief of which is SMS4NET in collaboration with WOL. It is a great service for people who use dial-up internet to forego the hassle of getting scratch cards and simply text to 965 with their MOBILINK connections (50 for 25 hours) and get internet hours at home, anytime. Ufone should consider integrating such services with a top notch ISP like LDN.

For zond you can dial 121 to avail the chatline services wheras I guess its 141 for mobilink subscribers!
