Asher Yaqub Khan, Marketing Head Ufone, Moving to Bangla Link
Asher Yaqub Khan, Chief Marketing Officier at Ufone is reportedly moving to Bangla Link as Chief Commercial Officer, Orascom’s telecom arm in Bangladesh, told us sources close to the situation.
He is resigning today, as per our company sources, and Ufone is going to announce this today evening.
Ufone’s spokesperson has confirmed Asher’s resignation.
Asher Yaqub was previously in Mobilink, as Director VAS, IR, LDI before joining Ufone in February 2008. Asher was responsible for major upturn in Ufone in previous year and a half.
It merits mentioning here that Ufone was facing severe marketing and network issues in early 2008.
Asher has 14 years of experience in the telecom sector. He has extensive experience of Business strategy, product development and brand management. Asher is MBA from LUMS, Pakistan and has a bachelor’s degree from Bosphorous University, Turkey.
