Count of Mobile phone users in Pakistan reached 96.7 million in November 2009, reported Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
With monthly growth rate of 0.83 percent, best in last half year, total amount of cellular subscribers in Pakistan stood at 96,709,585 with net addition of 790,856 subscribers in month of November 2009.
With 96.7 million subscribers, teledensity has reached 59. 03 percent.

However, I am wonder that what happened with Ufone, coming down and still down even they are spending a lot of money on the TVC. I think, the management of Ufone is sleeping and unaware with fact n figures. Ufone 2nd Rank to 4th Rank……lol

zong 2gb data pakage in just 200 rupees has the best price quality ratio. I am constantly getting 8 to 25 kb per sec. a 5 mb mp3 downloads in app 8 mins.

i am in multan and its edge here. i have checked it in different parts of city. result is same as i told earlier
good speed is in 1MB / 40-50 seconds try warid
i have used warid also. in multan its download speed is same as of zong. and sadly warid dont have complete edge covarage in multan. in most parts of city its simple gprs. and its 2gb data package is only available to postpaid users and that for 500 per month and zong providing 2gb data package for 200 per month. and in multan zong have much better edge coverage as compared to warid , mobilink and ufone.(almost whole city and its surrounding too) . only telenor beats zong in this area
and guess what i have installed fring in my mobile (e50) and can do voice chat with my brother any where any time. he is abroad. thanks to skype :-)
It also means Ufone now at fourth place in terms of customers. Still Ufone is not ready to revise its 30 Second package. Others are offering best rates in 30S & 20S pulse but they are trying to fool people in the name of tension free package. Let us see when Zong beat Ufone if they still follow the same policies

well… ufone ko chahye sms package k sath sath cheap internet aur mms packages bhi start kare baqi call rates aur service buhat achi hai aur tension free package koi bewaqofi nahi zong de rahai Rs 0.65/30 sec jo ek min k Rs 1.30 hote hain aur telenor 0.63/30 sec jo ek min k Rs 1.26 hote hain aur Ufone de raha sab se sasta rate poore pakistan mein sirf 1.20/min to sasta konsa hua?
