Transword Associates to Upgrade Undersea Cable

Transword Associates, a private fiber optic cable operator in Pakistan, in collaboration with TE SubCom has planned to upgrade TW1 undersea cable system, which will get completed by the end of this year.

This cable system connects Pakistan, UAE and Oman.

The TW1 undersea fiber optic cable system already covers more than 1,200 Km span. The cable comprises of two-fiber pair link with a data transfer capacity of 1.28 Tbps. After this upgrade, TW1 will be capable of adding six more wavelengths using plug and play technology.
