PSEB Organizes Animation, Gaming, and Visual Art Development Training Program

Pakistan Software Export Board’s (PSEB) organized an Animation, Gaming, and Visual Art Development training program in order to make highly trained workforce available to Pakistani IT companies.

A group of fresh IT graduates from Southern Punjab and professionals from PSEB’s member companies were trained in animation, gaming and visual art development technologies.

This free of cost, four-week training program, was focused on Data Structures, Game Development Processes, Visual Art and Animation Development, Game Market, Publishing and Monetization and Mobile Application Development focused on iPhone and Android platforms.

The mobile software & gaming segment is the fastest growing sector of the IT economy in line with Global gaming industry witnessing a meteoric rise over the past several years.

According to study, the world market for gaming software is expected to be worth approximately $91.96 billion by 2015 as per various credible estimates. The video game industry in the U.S/Canada alone will reach $21.6 billion in sales by 2013.

U.S Gaming Industry is expected to be over three times the size of recorded music industry. In the gaming market, mobile/online gaming segments are expected to grow significantly.

Pakistani IT professionals have already proven their mettle on challenging, hyper competitive newer platforms and technologies of animation, gaming and visual art. Pakistani companies have built mobile software and games for iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms that have been downloaded tens of millions of times across the world.

In view of the stellar growth statistics of the Gaming Industry, it is pertinent to take steps to bolster the local Gaming Industry through training and development programs.

Zia Imran, Managing Director, Pakistan Software Export Board and Badar Khushnod, Consultant Google Pakistan was also present at the certificate distribution ceremony.
