Warid Telecom continues its support to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center and Pink Ribbon Pakistan in spreading awareness about breast cancer.
In its efforts to contribute and mark October as the breast cancer awareness month, Warid has collected funds for poor cancer patients through an SMS donation campaign along with circulating awareness messages to its subscribers.
Warid staff at Business Centers in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi has volunteered in distributing awareness material on the life-threatening cancer and the importance of its early diagnosis. Warid’s official website and other social channels are also promoting cancer awareness during this month.
“Battling cancer is the most distressing experience for a woman and her family. Unfortunately, Pakistan has the highest rate of breast cancer for any Asian population in the world and we are pleased to support a cause which increases awareness about breast cancer and supports efforts to develop a cure for this disease” said Sadaf Zarrar, Director Marketing Communication, Warid Telecom.
