PTCL’s Paid Internships Benefit 500 Graduates

PTCL-logoTo impart practical exposure and learning opportunities, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has opened its doors to the educated youth of the country through a special One-year Paid Internship Program.

As part of PTCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, PTCL One-Year Paid Internship Program is a systematic and transparent effort. 50,000 plus candidates across Pakistan applied for the programme that offers an attractive stipend of Rs 12,000 per month.

“PTCL, being a socially responsible entity strongly believes in giving back to the community in which it operates”, commented President & CEO PTCL, Walid Irshaid. “This paid internship program would play an important role in capacity building of our human resource in the larger interest of the country. We plan to explore such innovative approaches to serve the society in the future as well”, he further added.

After a rigorous selection process of tests conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) and subsequent interviews by board-based panels, 500 interns were selected for multiple disciplines including Technical-Engineers and Associate Engineers; Sales and Marketing; Finance and HR.

The program kicked off at the beginning of October starting with a detailed orientation sessions at PTCL’s training centers across Pakistan.

Under the guidance of seasoned professionals while working for the leading Information and Communications Technology company, the selected interns will be exposed to the best industry practices and undergo extensive training and counseling.

PTCL understands its responsibility as a corporate citizen and playing a positive role in national development by providing this opportunity to the youth of Pakistan.


  • it is strange that engineer and mba’s are getting 12 thousand where as F.A pass cadet in army get 28000 during training with free residence,medical and food

    • pakistan is ARMY WELFARE state, army is state within state. they are building their facilities like universities/hospitals with commercial mind from the tax money collected from civilians. After that army enjoys these facilities almost free and civilians are charged heavily.

  • I also applied … but after waiting , didnt got my nts roll no card… pay 3 visits to NTS headoffice islamabad and Ptcl head office… bt nts keep me off saying we are only conducting exam and nothing to do with selection process…while @ ptcl they do even let me pass the front reception desk to Miss Maria who was co-ordinatin with NTS(told by NTS officials) to enquire about anything…after two days of effort i just quit and curse for paying that fee to NTS on name of PTCL
