As i have bought new laptop so i have this upgrade offer :) But i will wait for a few weeks so all the drivers and support for hardware is also out, IO have heard there are few issues with beats audio driver on HP Pavilions and i got Pavilion dv6 so… waiting
in windows 8 there is no need to install any of the computer hardware drivers just like vga, audio, bluetooth and graphics card drivers
windows 8 automatically have these latest drivers in it

Actually i have read many people have complaining abut the Beats Audio not working .. also i am still not sure how to do a clean install over my windows 7 … as i have seen in videos that windows automatically downoads and updates the OS , but i want to adjust my partisions etc … still running a single drive of 600gb as i bought a new lapi.. :(
I own DV6 too and with fresh win8 install, I’m able to operate 90% right out of the box. It’s just my ATI 4530 Video card which is not fully functional. Win8 installed its own driver though, but for gaming, I’m unable to get OpenGL/3D etc. functionality without a fully functional driver. AMD is yet to upgrade their driver database for this model.
your beats audio working fine ? Also i have the latest DV6 with nvidia gpu , most of other drivers are available at hp site as they updated all of them and i guess nvidia drivers are out too… can you please tell me did you bought the windows ? if yes than how you did a clean install ?
I’ve 2009 model dv6 which includes SRS premium sound, no beats audio. Yup I’ve already checked HP, they are yet to offer updated drivers for my ATI model. And off course I’ve cracked version of win8 Enterprise which is running perfect on clean install.
