Samsung has recently announced the launch of its new 4K (UHD) television series in Pakistan. It also includes curved UHD TVs, starting with a screen size of 55-inches.
An event was held at Expo centre Lahore, where John Park, MD Samsung Pakistan, and other officials briefed media about the new devices.
The futuristic curved TV look a little weird, but Samsung claims that it allows for a more realistic viewing experience, even from different angles. Moreover, the curved screen brings the edges closer to you, creating a wider field of vision, which means the screen seems even bigger than it is.
The new curved UHD TVs are bundled with “Depth Enhancer” software feature, which identifies the background from an image and enhance the depth, color and brightness to give you 3D look without requiring glasses.
The PurColor feature reproduces color expressing more detailed shades.
The display units were playing high definition content, so how does our “low res” cable channels will look on this TV? when asked; Samsung representative claimed that built-in upscaling technology takes the ordinary feed and converts lower resolution contents into UHD picture quality enhancing the details of video images.
Exact pricing details of the new curved UHD TV’s were not revealed but 55-inch model will set you back around 5 lac rupees.
Keeping the price tag in mind, I am happy with my 20 years old CRT TV, but you can go ahead and enjoy the innovation and amazing TV experience with Samsung’s UHD TVs.
Must wait till Changhong or Nobel comes up with this model for RS 10,000 :)
Then at that time 16K will be introduced and you will again comment with the same vocabulary :D
dont forget TCL
curve ka faidah kia?
As per company claims it provides more realistic image.
woe baat shahka..

totally waste of money. If you visit dubai these curve UHDTV are selling on sales as they are not successful there also
Just connect HDMI cable to your GTX 260 and watch 4K video. Don’t need to buy…!!
You will still need a 4K screen.
No! You can watch 4K video without any problem in the system.!!!
Screen 1080p/720p hai to 4K kahan se dekho ge?!
Dude, you can’t. The video will play but it will be down scaled according to your monitor’s resolution.
whats GTX 260? and where can i buy it?
guest is asking to buy a graphic card named nvidia gtx 260 which is now outdated. Also buying that card wont turn your screen resolution to 4k. You will just be able to play that video on your pc. You can play 4k videos on any laptops having intel hd 3000 or greater or may be even on core 2 duo laptops. But you wont be watching 4k it will be your monitor’s resolution which is normally 1366*768 on low to mid level laptops, while 4k resolution is 4096 x 2160 . So dont buy that creepy direct x 10 card.If you want to buy one then buy at least amd radeon 7770 or Nvidia gtx 760ti. (Buy 4k TV first)
Aik time tha jab pait waly TV hotay thay (cathode ray tube TV). wo b curve hotay thay..
phir new companies aein or tv screen to sedha kernay ki koshish ki or truly flatroon tv invent kia
phir or advancement huai or plasma, LCD or LED a gya..
or ab phir curve???? hell
yeh sab companies ki marketing game hay… jo bechna chahatay hian wo sab say behtareen hay..
This TV is of no use. Its more of a lifestyle rather than necessity.
55-inch curved UHD TV for just 5 lac?? No chance in hell.
i was thinking same

there are no HD Channels in Pakistan what to say of UHD
Nayatel offers 10 HD channels on its HD Box. Heck it even has Nat Geo in 3D. Plus you can get Tata Sky and such services with tons of HD channels.
Ohh how did i forget Nayatel. Sorry, my mistake. But still no UHD channels right.
I don’t think UHD channels exist anywhere currently. These are mostly for 4K movies, provided you can find them. But yeah I agree, 4K is a waste for the time being.
Any idea from where to get Tata Sky, and what are its monthly charges.
Go to Raja Bazar Pindi or Hall Road Lahore or Saddar Karachi & buy Airtel HD…
only Indian & English channels through India’s DTH, no Pakistani stuff at all…
1000/- for onetime dish and 12000/-PKR for a year tata sky subscription..
only Indian & English channels through India’s DTH, no Pakistani stuff at all…
yes no UHD not even through DHT. UHD is possible but will cost much via i-direct.
Wait, so what Is the price tag?
