Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has successfully completed renovation of its entire fleet of aircraft.
Last month, PIA launched the ‘V1 Initiative’ to regain the trust of passengers and make the airline profitable. PIA’s new CEO Rasool Cyan, launched the project of refurbishment of PIA aircraft under his own supervision.
In a record time of just one month, the refurbishing process for all PIA airplanes was completed. It was announced on 27th January that every single plane under PIA’s fleet had been renovated.

Improvements Made to the Airplanes
As part of its renovation efforts, PIA has made some necessary improvements to the interior of its airplanes. The planes now have new:
- Cabin crew areas
- Cushions
- Seat covers
- Curtains
- Carpets and
- Cleaner toilets
PIA will also work on improving their customer service, food quality and taste in the upcoming days.

With the new initiative PIA is aiming to regain its status as one of the best airlines in the world.
Apart from its renovation drive, PIA will also revise its base fare and lower it in a bid to accumulate revenue. The airline is further aiming to introduce new routes within the country to better facilitate travelers.

I TRAVEL 3 TIMES FROM LONDON TO ISLAMABAD IN THE LAT 7 MONTHS AND THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT I NOTICED, THEY COMPLETELY REMOVED THE CUSHIONS FROM THE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS.THIS IS SO FUNNY. 100% TRUE.shame
Tell the cabin crew to clean the washrooms, its part of their duty and what they are paid for.
No they are not paid for cleaning toilets!
I saw cabin crews cleaning the toiletries in Qantas airline , not sure that till which extent they have to clean it.
Its a safety check first of all. Secondly, they replace empty bottles such as liquid soaps, lotion, air freshener, tissue supply, empty bins and all. They keep it tidy in short! But they do not clean it.
Dear why u people leave the toilet uncleaned for them, at least you should use it n clean it as you do at your homes.
Good step but need the ife to be working too, until they completely refurb the 5 b777with new 10 abreast seats with new ife. However, its good to see a clean aircraft with this temporary refurb

Just traveled on pia from Bangkok to karachi, and karachi to Islamabad.. On yh vietair air crafts leased by pia. And they were disgustingly dirty.. So much got renovation …
until service at airports and cabin crew is not improved, these improvements will not work. true professionalism is required which cannot be achieved with existing politically hired over staff, who are just blank dull faces with other interests thereon instead of serving right.
