Three mobile phone companies have reportedly been issued with Mobile Audio (content provision) Service Licenses, which would enable the mobile phone subscribers to receive audio service on their sets.
The decision was taken in a meeting of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) held on Friday.
The companies that have received licenses are M/S Cellvision (Mobilink), M/S Jafcom (Telenor) and M/S Evamp and Sanga (Ufone).
The meeting was also attended by President, Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) Syed Sarfraz Shah, on the request of PEMRA.
