PMD Forecasts Hot and Humid Weather for Karachi

Karachi remained hot and humid throughout the day as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warned that the city could continue to experience intense heat over the next 24 hours.

The Met Office forecast a maximum temperature between 36°C and 38°C, with high humidity expected to make conditions feel significantly hotter.

According to the PMD, the temperature stood at 29°C earlier in the day. The humidity level reached 74%, while westerly winds blew at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour.

The department also said rain bearing clouds could develop over Karachi’s suburban areas.

Meanwhile, a weather analyst warned that temperatures could reach 41°C or higher in some parts of the city. The analyst added that light winds could continue to increase the intensity of the heat and humidity.
