Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has launched a first of its kind PTCL One–Year Paid Internship Program for young graduates with the aim to provide them a unique opportunity for learning and professional development.

Open to energetic and ambitious fresh graduates of Business, Finance, HR and Engineering (Including Associate Engineers), PTCL One-Year Paid Internship Program features hands-on experience of thriving business operations & practices; attractive stipends; exposure to cutting-edge ICTs & platforms; development of professional skills & competencies; access to dynamic corporate environment & culture; and interaction/engagement with acclaimed industry leaders.

Requirement:
- Information Technology (IT)
- MCS, BCS (Hons), BIT (Hons), BBA-IT
- Business Administration
- MBA (HR/ Marketing), BBA (Hons)
- Finance & Accounting
- MBA (Finance), M.Com, B.Com (Hons), ICMA, CA Inter or 16 years equivalent degree/ Qualification in (Accounts/ Finance/ Commerce) fields
- Engineers
- BE/BS Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, Computers)
- Diploma Holders
- DAE (Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, Computers) or B-Tech
- Criteria
- Minimum criteria would be CGPA 2.80/70% aggregate for Business, IT Graduates & Engineers
- Minimum 60% aggregate for Diploma holders or B-tech
Age limit 18-25 years
- Study completion year should be 2011-12. Candidates completed their education before 2011 are not eligible to apply.

Nice initiative by PTCL. I am in the field of IT and there are Alhumdullillah lots of jobs in information technology sector.
But one thing i would like to say that to get job you should have skills. i know many students of bs computer science who are in their second or third semester and yet they have launched many websites and earn money by creating websites for other even they don’t have done any course in university, they learnt things by their interest. Such students don’t get problem in finding jobs. But those who waste their time in enjoyment have to suffer the rest of their life.

What is the salary package?
what would the stipend given to students ?
last time they showed 12,000 stipend on the advertisement but later after hiring they said we will gave you 7,000
From my source of information it is said 15000 applications submitted in two days…!!!

keeping current unemployment situation in market i am expecting more then 1 lac applications and i am sure Merit will not be criteria of selecting candidates by PTCL. (even it is internship)

Atlast we can Praise PTCL for something and the good thing is that they have asked for students from all the major fields. So nice Initiative and kindly mention the Monthly Stipend the students would get. :)
