Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has today inked a MoU agreement with Bahria Town for deployment of Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and services in Bahria Town, Lahore.

The strategic partnership shall enable residents of Bahria Town to experience the state-of-the-art telecommunications services of PTCL including Voice Telephony, Broadband Internet,  SmartTV as well as EVO Wireless Broadband internet services.

The agreement was signed by Muhammad Nasrullah, Chief Business Operations Officer, PTCL and Brigadier Ahid Muzaffar Shah, Administrator, Bahria Town in the presence of Walid Irshaid, President and CEO, PTCL along with other senior officials from PTCL and Bahria Town.

Walid Irshaid, President and CEO, PTCL while speaking at the occasion said. “PTCL has successfully pioneered diverse ICT solutions which are leading its customers and partners into the future and we are delighted to extend our partnership with Bahria Town Lahore.”

Brigadier Ahid Muzaffar Shah, Administrator, Bahria Town said at the occasion,“ It’s a matter of pride for Bahria Town to partner with PTCL, country’s largest and leading telecommunication services provider. This agreement shall enable us to move forward collectively and deliver better services to our residents”.

  • Its so sad that we dont have any good internet options in Pakistan, PTCL employees simply don’t want to work

  • In simple words, this agreement states “PTCL will have a monopoly and no other broadband and cable TV company will provide services in Bahria Town”. Similar agreement is there between Bahria Town and PTCL in Rawalpindi. That’s why, Nayatel can never enter Bahria Town whereas it is there in Safari Villas (technically speaking, Bahria Town and Safari Villas are different).

  • “to experience the state-of-the-art telecommunications services of PTCL”

    haha … hahaha … HAHAHAHAHA!

  • I am living in bahria town phase 8 rawalpindi sine 2012 and there are no PTCL lines where i live. Have been using evo for last 2 years, which is frustrating

  • Agreement for what? PTCL has already a dedicated exchange in Bahria Lahore. The broadband ping and speed is already great due to excellent SNR because most homes (apart from sector C and onwards) are quite enough close to the exchange. I get 45+ SNR on my line all the time which is capable to deliver full 24mbps ADSL2 speed on copper line.

I guess this agreement is for another exchange around sector C or D area or may be a mega exchange such as the one at Egerton Road.

  • Congrats to PTCL on signing an agreement to provide ICT solutions to Bahria Town all over Pakistan. The strategic partnership shall enable residents of Bahria Town to experience the state-of-the-art telecommunications services of PTCL including Voice Telephony, Broadband Internet, Smart TV as well as EVO Wireless Broadband internet services. Good luck to both on this endeavor.

  • This agreement between PTCL and Bahria Town to deploy ICT solutions sounds like an excellent idea. The strategic partnership shall enable residents of Bahria Town to experience the state-of-the-art telecommunications services of PTCL including Voice Telephony, Broadband Internet, Smart TV as well as EVO Wireless Broadband internet services. Best of luck to both PTCL and Bahria Town on this partnership.

  • Whats the update on PTCL broad band services in Baharia Town Rawalpindi, as most posts here are a year old. Has any one tried Charji and alternatives like 3-4G sticks from Zong and 3 gb from Telenor.

    • Do you have any information on avialability of broadband in bahria Town RWP phase 1 to 6 ? I am moving house from airport society to Bahria town, RWP, due to this reason alone. Please advise, I do not want “Asmaan say gira khajoor mein atka thing” :)
