For the gamers, 2014 was a year short on worthy AAA titles and marked by game delays. Many developers seemed to have conveniently pushed most exciting games in the 2015 slot. That always seemed SO far away at the time. However, we have finally moved on and boy oh boy, there’s so much in store for this year. Kick back and relax as I present to you a compilation of five most anticipated video games of 2015.

MGS: Ground Zeroes may have seemed like a mere tech demo but it was a fair demonstration of what awaits in The Phantom Pain. Top-notch direction, story writing and production of the MGS series has always been the hallmark of Hideo Kojima’s work. Expect nothing less as MGS puts you in the shoes of the ‘Big Boss’ who embarks on yet another infiltration mission.
The tactical espionage action is well set up with photorealistic visuals, thanks to the next-gen FOX Engine. It’s upto players if they take a stealthy approach to deceive their enemies or just go in all guns blazing. Either way, “war has changed” and you better be prepared for it.

The Witcher series has been a cult classic on PC and Xbox 360. Given the considerable amount of audience for the series, developers CD Projekt now bring The Witcher 3 to next-gen platforms as well. It’s worth mentioning that the game has been delayed on three different occasions and put back in the works for more polish. The results of this have been quite substantial.
The third installment of the extremely popular single-player RPG series is set in a world that is 30 times larger than before. Needless to say, the open world looks more beautiful than ever before. Players will take on the role of Geralt and Ciri as they explore the massive port city of Novigrad. The game incorporates an intuitive set of controls that combine tactical maneuvers with some fascinating combat sequences.

Uncharted series has undoubtedly been a system seller for SONY in the past. It seems like developer Naughty Dog is finally preparing to bid farewell to the massively renowned series. This paves way for yet another adventure for the treasure hunter ‘Nathan Drake’ who hasn’t had his fill for years. Now it’s upto him to pursue a historical conspiracy behind some fabled treasure.
Given Naughty Dog’s exceptional story telling skills, players can expect an extremely immersive tale. The gameplay simply builds on what we are already accustomed to with a few additions. From what little we have seen so far, the game looks gorgeous with significantly enhanced lighting and physical based shaders. It’s little things that equally matter such as water making Drake’s hair shine and lean over with its weight.

Rocksteady Studios has continually impressed with the stunning visuals, satisfying gameplay mechanics and impressive story telling skills in the previous Batman titles. I can hardly spot any flaw in the formula they have consistently used over the years.
Arkham Knight brings the same goodness with the introduction of the popular Batmobile that is not simply a means of transport but a full-fledged weapon. Batman would now face Scarecrow who returns to Gotham city with Batman’s worst enemies such as Two-Face, Harley Quinn and Penguin to annihilate the city that the Knight swore to guard.

Bloodborne clearly captures glimpses of Dark Souls. Afterall, it’s brought by the same developer ‘FromSoftware’. It’s an almost equally dark, gritty and unforgiving package as the Souls titles with a faster-paced gameplay and enhanced visuals. That doesn’t mean you can frivolously engage in combat with the enemy; enemies are just as agile so combat requires clear strategy. The difficulty in the game will surely pave way for tense battles and present challenges that players must strive to tackle.
