EatOye Acquires Urbanite.PK

EatOye Pvt. Ltd. operating as an independent subsidiary of Foodpanda Global has announced its acquisition of urbanite.pk, Pakistan’s pioneering online food ordering websites – for an undisclosed amount.

This acquisition is the latest in a string of buyouts that have occurred in the red hot online food ordering industry within the region.

Not to be mention, EatOye was itself acquired by Foodpanda just earlier this month.

With this transaction, urbanite.pk’s domain name and customers would be acquired by EatOye.

Urbanite.pk’s founder and CEO, Ozair Bokhari said:

“It has been a pleasure to have served Urbanite customers and moreover to witness the industry grow in just 3 years- from Urbanite being the sole operator to this dynamic competitive market today. I am convinced that this development will prove beneficial for urbanite’s customers and I wish EatOye all the best.”

Urbanite successfully launched online delivery across Karachi and brought together customers and providers through its platform in a very short space of time.

Since the launch of Urbanite, Online Food ordering market in Pakistan has seen the entry of both local and international players and is estimated to be worth $15 million of annual online orders.

EatOye’s founders and MDs Rai Umair and Nauman Sikandar said:

“We are happy to further grow our customer base – Urbanite customers would not only have access to the same great service but will now be able to order from more than 1000 restaurants in Pakistan.

Customers will also be able to order food on the go using are new mobile apps and pay online using credit cards!”

  • lol looking at Pakistani Food market, which must be among worlds dirtiest markets (in regards to food quality), i can see people still ordering more and more food. The more dirty the food, the higher orders these restaurants get. for example: PIZZA HUT (m.m alam), Nandos (mm alam), CTC (hussain chowk), englsih tea house, Gourmet (bakeries), KFCs, Fried Chicks all have been caught with extremely un-hygenic, bad kitchen & deep freezer conditions, and selling expired products. oh i forgot this is PAKISTAN!!.

  • So Foodpanda owns Eatoye (khotiaaa)! which now owns urbanite.! which means pandafood is the real owner? so who owns Biryani Of the Seas by the way!!?
