Plan9 has announced that it will host the Google HackFair 2015, the first event of its kind in Pakistan. Google HackFair is a global event to in developing markets to promote innovation in the IT industry.
What is Google HackFair?
With a slogan “Time to show your love for #technology!”, the event will encourage both innovators and visitors to come out and show their interest in new and emerging tech trends. Individuals will have a platform to develop and share their projects. Since the event is sponsored by Google, developers are encouraged to work with Google technologies and bring about unique solutions. Google wants developers to think out of the box and work together on all sorts of distinctive projects.
What’s in it for Developers, Startups and Attendees?
Developers will get a chance to show off their projects to the world. Selected startups will even receive a special blog from Google. Other than the appreciative efforts, Google will distribute Android devices and many other prizes amongst the participants.
Visitors will get to see unique and upcoming devices and projects. The event will hold project displays, workshops, motivational talks and demos of Google products. Visitors will also be provided snacks during the event.
How to Apply for Google HackFair?
Developers need to fill out this form first. They will be contacted to showcase their project at the Google HackFair 2015. Applications are free and open till 30th November 2015. You will need some details regarding the project such as the app page, website URL or a project video to be considered eligible for the event.
For attendees, they will need to fill out the form available here and confirm their participation.

For the time being just attend this event just as an attendee to look, how others are exhibiting their ideas. Next time you will got the courage to do it yourself :-)
