Samsung Refreshes the Galaxy A-Series Models for 2016

Samsung’s upper mid-range Galaxy A-series has quickly risen through the ranks to gain a unique place in the market. The first phones of the series, the A3, A5 and A7 are being refreshed for the new year, with the inclusion of some high-end features to justify it’s A Series moniker.

The series still features premium designs, which continue to be its headlining feature, but now they also bring fingerprint scanners, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Near Field Communication (NFC) to the table. All A models will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Galaxy A3 (2016)

The A3, lying at the lowest end of the food chain, comes with a 4.7” display with 720p resolution. It comes with a Super AMOLED panel, instantly making the A3 with one of the best budget screens around.

It lacks OIS and fingerprint scanner, however, but tries to make up for it with LTE Cat.4 (market-dependent) and a 7.3mm thin shell.
