Pakistan TELECON 2016 To Be Held on World Telecom Day

The 9TH Pakistan TELECON 2016 organized by Shamrock Conferences International will be held on May 17, 2016 from 9.30 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel Islamabad. The theme of the conference is “At the Crossroads of Revolutionary Technology Challenges”

Coinciding with the World Telecom Day 2016, the annual assembly of key stakeholders from Pakistan’s telecom, IT, financial, academia, social and related sectors, will focus on major developments from a regulatory, technology and entrepreneurship perspective.

In addition, updates on emerging technologies, e-commerce, e-education, Internet-of-Things (IoT), start-ups and social impact of entrepreneurship, will also be highlighted.  Eminent speakers, experts and panelists will be dilating in the four dedicated sessions on regulatory, technology, ICT Entrepreneurship and Social Impact, respectively. Representatives from the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Nayatel, Telenor Pakistan, PTCL, Microsoft Pakistan, [email protected], Ministry of Science & Technology, Balochistan; Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Ilm Ideas 2, Convo and Careem Networks will be speaking on the occasion.

An interesting aspect of TELECON will be the interactive panel discussion hovering on the global theme of World Telecom Day 2016, “ICT Entrepreneurship for Social Impact” which will feature inputs from startups to success stories and how technology is making a difference in e-education.
