The very first stepping stone for many popular startups today, Startup Weekend is now coming to Islamabad this month. Have an idea that you think can change the world? Here’s your chance to be heard as well as get valuable feedback and mentoring.
What is Startup Weekend?
Startup Weekend is one of the world’s most popular events for pitching your startup ideas to a group of like-minded individuals. It is powered by Google and is renowned around the whole world. To date, around 3,000 Startup Weekend events have been arranged.
Startup Weekend can be incredibly useful for getting your startup idea validated. The event also gives budding entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet mentors, guest speakers and veterans of their own field.
A 54-hour event, Startup Weekend comprises of a first-day pitch, after which you have to team up with a few other people. The next day, you have to learn and work and make your startup idea better by building a product, finding customers, etc. On the final day— Sunday— you get to pitch again, but this time in front of a panel of judges.
Startup Weekend Islamabad 2016 is going to be held from the 30th of September to 2nd of October. The venue for this event is Air University, Islamabad and it’s being organized by Startup Hub through a partnership with Plan9.
