Agriculture University Faisalabad Ranked Fourth in Pakistan for Research Work

Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmed claimed that the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) is now one of the best among all universities regarding research work in Pakistan as per the Times Higher Education and the Emerging Economies Ranking 2017.

The UAF has secured 203rd position worldwide and 4th in Pakistan in the overall ranking. Universities from 50 other countries were also part of this evaluation, said the Vice Chancellor.

In the overall ranking in Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam University got the first position with 24.2 points, Comsats stood at second with 23.7 points, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) scored 22.4, University of Agriculture Faisalabad 19.8. Bahauddin Zakariya Univeristy got 10.1 and University of Karachi managed to gain 8.3.

According to the National Taiwan University ranking, UAF secured 72nd in the world agriculture sciences and 12th in Asia Pacific, while the QS ranking placed UAF at 86th best university around the globe.

No other university of the country has distinction in a finding place amongst the top 100 universities in any category.
