Samsung to Unveil Industry Leading Wireless Speakers at CES 2017

Samsung is coming at CES 2017 with a category not likely considered to be traditionally its stronghold; audio hardware. The new product is called the H7 Wireless speaker which doesn’t only look good but converts ordinary sound to a rich and immersive one.

The speaker will use Samsung’s own audio upscaling technology, called the Ultra-High Quality (UHQ) audio. The H7 speaker can take 8-bit or 24-bit audio and upscale it to 32-bit, to take it as close as possible to the original recording, rather than the restrictions imposed by the format or available technology. It can also reach as low as 35 Hz to deliver very low levels of bass.

Samsung is implementing its ‘Distortion Cancelling’ technology to further smoothen the edges by predicting and controlling the movement of internal speaker units by throwing out beats in sync with the hardware.

Digital upscaling has been implemented by many others in the market, but has so far failed to get the desired result and attention. Samsung’s solution has a steep hill to climb if a sizeable dent has to be made.

Samsung is also implementing a very minimalist, organic and blending design for the speaker. There are two wheels at the top to control the volume and playlists.

Apart from the speaker, Samsung is also outing its MS750 sound bar, which is the company’s first to “embed subwoofer performance directly into the primary unit”. It also features a highly minimalist design.

Last is the HDR-enabled M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player with a new “Private Cinema Mode” and mobile integration. We should hear more about these products at the CES so watch this place for more info.

  • Glad for the coverage as the times has arrived for Spotify and other international networks which offes unlimted music, as Netflix. We look forward for Music content unlimited in Pakistan on Samsung speakers with rich speakers duly covered by IPR.
