Metro Bus Service to Be Linked to New Islamabad Airport

According to recent news, Islamabad is confirmed to see some more development regarding its Metro Bus network.

Last week on Tuesday, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif directed immediate construction of Islamabad Metro Bus link from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad’s new airport.

The PM was informed that the development in the Metro Bus system would cost around 18 billion rupees and would require construction of additional 14 bus stops along the route.

The development in the Metro Bus system is going to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 14th August this year. The inauguration of the new Islamabad Airport is going to take place on the same date.

Mr Sharif further stated that the additional development in the Metro Bus system would minimize the load of traffic flow towards the new airport and save valuable time for civilians.

He also said that the Metro Bus Service and the new Islamabad Airport should suffer through no compromises and the best quality of service should be ensured to the public.

The Prime Minister while talking to the Secretary Communications Division and Chairman National Highway Authority Shahid Ashraf Tarar in a meeting at the PM house highlighted the importance of transport in the city.

Moreover, the Chairman also informed the PM about the progress of various ongoing projects regarding road networks in the country.

He said that the reach of road networks in the country provides access to all areas of the country and creates a huge economical potential for trade and commerce across the country.
