Salman Malik, lately the CEO of Telenor LDI in Pakistan, has joined Jazz as head of Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy, we have checked.
Salman comes with tremendous experience in the Telecom industry with various operators and the Telecom regulators.
He worked with Telenor for eight years in various capacities. He has extensive knowledge of the regulatory forces shaping telecom industry’s environment and has managed the commercial sides of business as well.
Before Telenor, Salman also worked with Ministry of IT for some time.
At Jazz, Salman would be focusing on pro-active advocacy of the issues faced by industry especially in the Digital & Mobile Financial segments.

Farid Ahmad
Farid Ahmad, who was previously VP Strategy, has been given the new role as Head of Proposition and Segments in Commercial.
Farid has over 22 years of experience with extensive assignments in telecoms. He previously spent 10 years in various commercial areas at Mobilink, followed by senior commercial roles at Telenor and Warid.
In his most recent assignment at Warid he was looking after the commercial operations including product, pricing and segments.
Omer Haider
Omer Haider, from Warid, has been appointed as director for Corporate Affairs.
Omar has been working with Telecom industry for around 25 years and has extensive experience in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Public Relations and Corporate Strategy.
Haider previously served as director of government relations, regulatory affairs and interconnect at Warid Telecom.
Syed Usman Ahmed
Usman, who was with Warid prviously, will be the Head of HR Operations. He brings along over 8 years of experience in the Telecom Industry. His experience spans the areas of operations, talent acquisition, HR audit and compliance and HR Services.
At Warid, his last assignment was Manager Staffing & HR Services.
Suhail Jan
Hailing from Warid, Sohail Jan comes with more than 19 years of Telecom experience, both local as well as international, and was the Chief Commercial Officer for Warid Telecom since 2014.
Some of his earlier assignments include VP Sales & Marketing Warid Telecom, Director Commercial Mobilink infinity, Director Sales & Distribition, Banglalink and Regional Commercial Director for Mobilink South and North Region.
Suhail will be a member of the ManCom at Jazz.
