Nikon’s latest DSLR camera is a prime example of features trickling down from the high end to comparatively lower-end products. The D7500 borrows a bunch of features from the company’s high-end D500b line and already looks to be one of the strongest products in its range.
The successor to the D7200 comes with a 20.9-megapixel APS-C CMOS DX-format sensor, paired with the Expeed 5 image processor. It supports ISO range of 100 to 51,200 (up to 1640000 when extended) as well as continuous shooting of up to 8 frames per second.
As for the video, 4K UHD video of up to 30/25/24 fps, as well as Full HD at 60fps is supported, along with a 510-point autofocus system. Video can be saved via SD crad or HDMI, while a headphone and microphone jack are also onboard.
The camera is redesigned to be slightly lighter than the D7200 with textured front and back for better handling. There’s a weather sealing as well as the Auto AF Fine Tune feature for automatic autofocus calibration for individual lenses.
Nikon has made sure the camera takes a cue or two from modern consumer technology, too. On the back is a 3.2″ 922k touchscreen display, which supports tilting. Its augmented with an OLED electronic viewfinder.

Furthermore, for sharing content seamlessly, the camera supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coupled with Nikon’s SnapBridge technology allows instant sharing.
As for the price, the D7500 will retail for $1250 for the body only or $1750 when coupled with a 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX Nikkor lens. No word as to when it’ll be up for sale but all signs point towards a June release.
