KSE-100 recorded a gain of 324.90 points or + 0.63 % by the end of the trading session to close at 51750.91 points.
The KSE-100 Index gained intraday high of 367 points at in the 2nd trading session of the day crossing the previous high of the market.
The Index opened positive and continued to gain profits through the last trading session while closing in green, in the last day of the week. Market participation improved with the volume going up by 127 million shares which were worth of Rs 13.16 billion.
COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 91,288,100 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 32,251,700 shares and REFINERY sector with a total traded volume of 29,743,950.
Shares of 382 companies were traded. At the end of the day, 194 stocks closed higher, 165 declined while 23 remained unchanged.
Summit Bank was the volume leader with 34.50 million shares, gaining Rs 0.78 to close at Rs 7.08. It was followed by K-Electric Ltd with 22.25 million shares, gaining Rs 0.26 to close at Rs 8.05, Byco Petroleum with 19.36 million shares, losing Rs 1.15 to close at Rs 22.02 and Dewan Cement with 18.65 million shares, losing Rs 1.38 to close at Rs 26.43.
