Nawaz Sharif Meets ZTE Chairman in Hong Kong

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met the chairman of ZTE Mr Yin Yimin today in Hong Kong.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is an investment friendly country and investors from Hong Kong must exploit the immense opportunities available in Pakistan. The Prime Minister apprised the Chairman ZTE on his productive visit to Beijing. He said that One Belt One Road is a great initiative of the Chinese leadership.

Speaking on the occasion the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has turned into a vibrant economy.

He also mentioned that the development of Hong Kong was exemplary.

Federal Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan, Chairman Board of investment Mifta Ismail and Pakistani Ambassador in China Masood Khalid were also present during the meeting.

A couple of days ago, ZTE executive vice president, Mr. Zhang Zhenhui announced that the company is all set to bring DTH service in Pakistan. This was announced at the One Belt One Road Forum in China.

Mr. Zhang said,

This is a project with significant importance, as it provides telecommunication services to many Pakistani people, including ones that live in rural and remote areas. This is a key strategic project by the two governments, and ZTE serves as the bond between the two nations.
