Ignite National Technology Fund (formerly known as National ICT R&D Fund) is now all set to establish an international standard Incubation Center in Quetta as well.
Ignite National Technology Fund, has already floated the RFP (request for proposals) for the setup of an Incubation Center in Balochistan’s capital city.
It maybe recalled here that due to sheer efforts of the Ministry of IT and Telecom and Ignite team, contracts for the three incubation centers which are to be built at Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar have already been awarded to consortium led by LUMS, TPL Trakker and LMKT respectively. Whereas National Incubation Center Islamabad is now inducting its second cohort.
Minister of State for IT & Telecom Ms. Anusha Rahman, while chairing the board of directors meeting of Ignite recently, commented that the establishment of new technology incubation centers across all four provinces will enable young entrepreneurs from all over the country to innovate and bring about new solutions.
National Incubation Center Quetta
To accomplish its vision of setting up incubation centers in federal and provincial capital cities, Ignite has invited qualified, licensed and registered legal entities to submit their proposals for the incubation center in Quetta.
Ignite said that it wants the Quetta center to promote IT in the province, in a manner similar to the other four incubation centers in Pakistan.
It will allow local talent, entrepreneurs and startups to grow and improve the economic situation of the country.
How to Apply & Requirements
Applicants are required to be Active Taxpayers in FBR’s records and must have a strong financial background. A professional management team and relevant experience in IT are also prerequisites for the applicants. Foreign joint ventures are also encouraged to apply.
