Ban Imposed on Teachers Performing Duty in More than One Examinations

Under the new policy of Punjab Education Department, a ban has been imposed on teachers who perform their duties at more than one examination in the Metric and F.A annual and supplementary exams. The move was undertaken for curbing cheating in examinations.

Under the new rules of provincial education department, the teachers who perform their duties in annual examinations of class 9th, 10th, 1st year and 2nd year will  not be allowed to perform their duty in the supplementary examinations of respective classes.

It has been made binding on the teachers to perform duty either in Annual or Supplementary exams.

Education department has also informed Education Board on  this count.

On the other side, attainment of No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Education department has also been declared mandatory for examination duties of teachers.

As per notification, the teachers performing duty during examination of ninth class will not be allowed to perform such duty in tenth class examination. Likewise, teachers performing duty during examination of 10th class will not be allowed to perform such duty during exams of First year intermediate examination.

Similarly the teachers performing their duties during examinations of first year would not be allowed to perform such duty during second year examinations.

Teachers have been allowed to perform their duties once in a year and they will also be required to file NOC to be issued from  CEO of District Education Authority.

Teacher’s organizations have welcomed this move  besides demanding of Punjab government to  increase compensation for examination duty.
