Asus has released a full range of Zenfone 4 smartphones, each with their own quirk or speciality. Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro feature massive 5,000 mAh batteries with mid-range specifications.
Prices for the two phones haven’t been confirmed yet and will vary across different regions.
Design and Display
Both of the phones have a metallic finish and look exactly the same from the front and the back. Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro come with a 5.5-inch IPS LCDs on the front with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. The fingerprint scanner sits below the display.
Internals and Storage
Both the phones will come with quad-core or octa-core processor options of Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 and 430. However, the similarities with internals end there.
The regular ZenFone 4 Max comes with either 2,3 or 4 GB RAM, as well as between 16 and 64 GB of internal expandable storage. The Pro version comes with either 2 or 3 GB RAM, but only 32 GB internal storage.
The OS running is customized Android Nougat, with an update to Android O promised.
Camera(s)
On the regular ZenFone 4 Max, you get a 13 MP main camera + 5 MP wide-angle setup on the back, with an 8 MP camera on the front. Both are accompanied with an LED Flash.
On its Pro brethren, both the main and selfie shooters are upgraded to 16 MP, while the LED flash and a wide-angle lens (5 MP on the Max Pro) remain.
Battery
As said earlier, the biggest of these phones is their 5,000 mAh battery, which unfortunately doesn’t come with fast-charging. Overnight charging might compensate for the long charging times. At least you won’t be compelled to take out the charger in the middle of the day.
