New Rankings: Imad Wasim is Still the No. 1 Bowler in the World

Pakistan have been deprived of quality all-rounders ever since the retirement of the great Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Abdul Razzaq. However, the country has found a ray of hope in Imad Wasim, who has retained his top spot among bowlers in the new ICC rankings.

According to the updated rankings, Pakistan’s team is ranked second in the latest ICC rankings issued for T20I.

Babar Azam, the Pakistani middle order batsman has secured his career-best 6th position in the T20I rankings. The 22-year-old has moved 21 positions after completing a 2-1 victory over the World XI in the Independence Cup series held in Lahore.

Shoaib Malik’s position was also improved after a scintillating 94-runs innings in Lahore. Malik is now ranked at 30th position. Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan has gained 32 places to reach 66th rank among bowlers.
