Ghandhara Industries Profits Rise by 155% in Q3 2017

Ghandhara Industries announced a net profit of Rs. 457.8 million in the 1st quarter ending 30th September 2017, up by a significant 155.31% from Rs. 179.6 million in the same quarter of last year.

Earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs. 21.49 from an EPS of Rs. 8.43 in the period under review.

The sales played a vital role in bringing up the profit, as the total gross profit increased to Rs. 871 million which is up by 141% in this quarter. The administrative expenses had a whopping increase of 57.44% in this quarter as well.

Resultantly, at the time of filing this report, GHNL’s script at the bourse hit its upper cap limit (up by 5%) and is currently trading at Rs. 458.59.

Recently, Ghandhara Industries Limited (GIL) had entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with Isuzu Motors Limited, based in Thailand.

They have obtained a license to use the technical information and technical assistance from Isuzu with respect to the D-MAX pick-up, enabling GIL to manufacture, assemble and sell the Isuzu D-MAX in Pakistan.
