Marriott International has announced an agreement with Maverick International Private Limited — an associate of Maverick Hotels in the USA — to open a 300-room Marriott Hotel in, what is known as the heart of Pakistan, Lahore.
The hotel would be built on a 46,000 sq ft site in the new downtown area of Gulberg which will consist of 300 rooms including 40 suites.
It will also comprise of five food and beverage outlets with three specialty restaurants. A fitness center, spa and ultra-modern meeting facilities including a 1,161 square-meter ballroom, seven meeting rooms, and four boardrooms will be included in the hotel.
Alex Kyriakidis — President and Managing Director, Middle East & Africa Marriott International — while commenting on the agreement, said:
