PTI’s Official Website Hacked Once Again

This Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s official website was hacked by a group calling themselves “Pak Cyber Attackers”.

Some hackers defaced the website, again, and posted a message for PTI Chairman, Imran Khan.

Take a look at their message below at PTI’s official website:

It’s nothing that we haven’t seen before. The admins who run the PTI website, however, need to secure their website and invest on better countermeasures.

At the time of writing, PTI’s website is redirecting to some PTI-related YouTube video so that viewers cannot see what the vandals did. We’re guessing that the site owners are currently patching it up.

History of Hacks

This is not the first time this has happened – previously, the website was defaced (sadly that, too, happened on a Tuesday) by a group called “Voice of Pakistan; Death Adders Crew” after Ayesha Gulalai’s allegations against PTI’s Chairman, Imran Khan.

PTI’s website and other government related websites are woefully unguarded and are obviously run on out-of-date software modules.

It gives license to all sorts of miscreants to continue defacing these websites, and leave the admins embarrassed.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a well-known name in Pakistan, and as one of the leading political parties, it’s only fair that people expect their online channels to be well-secured against hacks.
