Cook Like a Pro: These Delectable Fish Recipes Will Leave You Wanting More

Ah, winters! The season when seafood just sounds so irresistible.

Who else doesn’t love a good-old fish fillet right next to a bonfire? We know everyone loves that.

That’s why we have brought to you some super easy and simple fish recipes you can try at home this winter.

Without wasting any more time, lets get to it!


Finger Fish


Marination:

  • Finger fish red snapper 1/2 kg (boneless)
  • Ground black pepper 1 tsp
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • Coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Green chili 3 to 4

Soaking:

  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves coarsely chopped
  • Whole lemons 2-4
  • Water 2 cups
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander stems

Breading: 

  • Flour 1 cup (seasoned)
  • Bread Crumbs 1 cup (seasoned)
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten (seasoned)
  • Note: season with chili powder/black pepper and salt
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Method

  • Soak the fish for half an hour in water with lemons, coriander, garlic, and salt
  • Grind the green chili and coriander to form a paste
  • Marinate the fish with coriander and green chili paste, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, garlic paste and black pepper for 15 minutes
  • Place the pre-seasoned flour, bread crumbs, and eggs in three separate deep dishes
  • Then take the marinated fish and place in the flour dish and coat well
  • Then dip the flour coated fish into the beaten eggs
  • Lastly, dip the fish into the breadcrumbs and deep fry until golden brown for about 6 to 8 minutes
  • Serve with tartar sauce


Baked Fish


Marination:

  • Red snapper 1/2kg (without thorns)
  • Garlic 8-10 cloves
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Coriander leaves with stems 1/2 bunch
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt 1 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili 4
  • Red crushed chili 1 tbsp
  • Juice 3-4 lemons
  • Vinegar 2-3 tsp

Soaking:

  • 2-3 Garlic cloves coarsely chopped
  • Whole lemons 2-4
  • Water 2 cups
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander stems

Cooking Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Soak the fish for half an hour in water with lemons, coriander, garlic, and salt
  • Take all ingredients (except fish) and blend it well to create a paste
  • Then apply the paste over the pre-soaked fish well on both sides
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. (Time mainly depends on oven heat)
  • Serve with ketchup/ tartar sauce
