LG Unveils K8 and K10 Budget Phones for 2018

LG hasn’t been doing well as of late. Not as big as its fellow Korean company Samsung though still famous nonetheless, LG has been struggling with its smartphone division for years.

The company had announced that it would unveil its new budget K8 and K10 smartphones at the Mobile World Congress, which kicks off this Sunday. However LG has announced them beforehand, with pricing and availability details to be unveiled at the MWC.

Here are the K8 2018 and K10 2018:

Both LG K8 and K10 will have three unique color variants, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Terra Gold.

LG K10 will come in 3 different variants, K10α, K10 and K10 Plus. All three have the same design language and displays.

Display

Both the K8 and K10 will flaunt an IPS LCD screen with a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution (16:9 ratio).

The LG K8 2018 has a 5.0 inch screen while K10 models will have a relatively larger screen, at 5.3 inches.

Both of them will have a fingerprint sensor on the back with a metal frame for the body.

Internals and storage

LG K8 will have an unknown quadcore 1.3 GHz CPU along with 2 Gigs of RAM and 16 GB internal storage. LG K10, on the other hand, will differ a bit according to its sub-models.

The K10α and K10 will have the same 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage while the K10 Plus will have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The processor, in this case, would be the low-end Mediatek MT6750.

Camera

LG K8 will have an average quality 8 MP rear camera with a regular LED flash. A 5 MP secondary cam features at the front.

In case of LG K10 Plus, a 13 MP back camera and an 8 MP front cam will be rolled out with almost the same features as of K8. The K10α and K10 (regular version) will have an 8 MP back and 5 MP front camera.

Battery

LG K8 will have a non-removable Li-ion battery at 2500 mAh while the bigger variant, K10, will have a 4,000 mAh battery. No extra features like fast charging or quick charge have been made a part of the two new phones.
