The tickets for the much anticipated final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 — to be held in Karachi — have been sold out within 15 hours after going on sale.
Tickets were sold at 32 designated TCS Express Centers across the city on first come, first serve basis.
According to reports, customers queued up early on the Thursday morning to ensure that they can buy tickets and rejoice the return of international cricket in Pakistan.
The TCS Centers revealed that the Rs. 1,000, Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 8,000 tickets were sold out within the first four hours.
However, the website was restored and around 3am, all the Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 4,000 were completely sold out.
Talking about the tickets, a PCB source revealed that a maximum of 5 tickets could be purchased on a single CNIC.
This is a clear indication as to how desperate cricket fanatics were to witness the revival of cricket on their homesoil.
Despite a number of international player boycotting the visit to Pakistan to play the final, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) urged that the venue will not be changed from Karachi to Dubai.
In hindsight, it has proved to be a phenomenal decision.
The final is all set to be played at Karachi’s National Stadium on 25th March.
