The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have teamed up to provide a much-needed relief to the taxpayer. Taxpayers, including businessmen and importers, can now pay their due taxes using ATM or internet banking. The tax returns can be filed online as well.
Good news? You won’t have to stand in long queues at the physical branches to pay your taxes anymore. However, if someone prefers paying taxes by visiting the branch, they can avail that option as well. You can visit the ATM to pay your taxes or you can submit them while sitting at your home.
The online tax payment system was previously launched on a trial basis. Haroon Akhtar, Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Revenue, formally launched the system today at the FBR House Islamabad.
