We have often heard the phrase go big or go home and once again this year RoboMinors went big! The FIRST® LEGO® League’s (FLL), whose regional and national qualifiers were held in January and February, proved to be a great success for RoboMinors. The Islamabad-based company is working towards launching and promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) related educational initiatives in Pakistan.
Every year, teams from various schools in Islamabad are mentored by roboticists at RoboMinors’ to compete in national and international competitions.

This year, 5 teams received mentorship from RoboMinors. Three of these teams were from EMS High School, one from Cadet College Hasanabdal (CCH) and one from Preparatory School Islamabad (PSI). The teams performed exceptionally well, with all of them qualifying for the nationals in the regional qualifiers.
In the national qualifiers, the team from EMS won the Champions title, extending RoboMinors dominance at the national level for two years in a row. The team from PSI won the Runners Up award.
The Champion’s team will be flying to USA to represent Pakistan in FLL World Festival and the Runners Up team will be flying to Estonia to represent Pakistan in FLL Open Championship.

In addition to the Champions and the Runners Up titles, the team from CCH won the Best Programming Award. The other two teams from EMS won the Best Project Presentation Award and the Best Teamwork Award. Consequently, all the teams mentored by RoboMinors won an award at the nationals this year.
Students begin their journey with RoboMinors as part of the after-school robotics clubs, on campus sessions and summer/winter robotics camps. RoboMinors is headed by top PhDs and researchers in the field of robotics and technology. The company will be launching its second installment of the much-anticipated Summer Camp in May 2018.
