A market research company YouGov, has published its latest findings on “the world’s most admired people” and has ranked several noted personalities based on opinions of 37,000 people from 35 countries.
Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates and well-famed actress Angelina Jolie made it to the top of the list as the world’s most admired people and some Pakistani people, including Imran Khan and Malala Yousafzai also made it to the global rankings. The list mainly consists of actors and celebrities but political figures, such as Barack Obama and Vladmir Putin are included as well.
The researcher interviewed 37,000 people and based its final calculations on their responses to two questions – first, whether the interviewee admires the person in question and second if the interviewee admired the particular person the most.
YouGov’s research also classifies admiration levels country-wise and shows which person is admired the most locally. For Pakistan, Tariq Jameel and Bilquis Edhi are at the first spot and are admired the most by Pakistani people. Imran Khan comes third and interestingly, Malala Yousafzai comes 6th below Angelina Jolie and Aafia Siddiqui.
