Malala and Imran Khan Are Among the “World’s Most Admired” People

A market research company YouGov, has published its latest findings on “the world’s most admired people” and has ranked several noted personalities based on opinions of 37,000 people from 35 countries.

Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates and well-famed actress Angelina Jolie made it to the top of the list as the world’s most admired people and some Pakistani people, including Imran Khan and Malala Yousafzai also made it to the global rankings. The list mainly consists of actors and celebrities but political figures, such as Barack Obama and Vladmir Putin are included as well.

The researcher interviewed 37,000 people and based its final calculations on their responses to two questions – first, whether the interviewee admires the person in question and second if the interviewee admired the particular person the most.

Local Rankings

YouGov’s research also classifies admiration levels country-wise and shows which person is admired the most locally. For Pakistan, Tariq Jameel and Bilquis Edhi are at the first spot and are admired the most by Pakistani people. Imran Khan comes third and interestingly, Malala Yousafzai comes 6th below Angelina Jolie and Aafia Siddiqui.

    • “All of the surveys were conducted online, and in many of the countries the internet penetration is low to the point where the sample can only be said to be representative to the online population. The countries where the online population is lower than 60% of the total are Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam.”

If I believe this survey then…locally in Pakistan people admire Bill Gates, Angellina, Justin Trudeau more than Farhat Hashmi , Nawaz Sharif and Malala.

When it comes to any online…PTI always wins…KPK govt is best on social media networks and has provided all basic and luxurious facilities to KPK on facebook, twitter.

  • Malala is a drama who in the right state of mind will admire her please get a life she is worthless. Most of the people hate her for being a part of such a big drama she takes the people of Pakistan as fools.

    • Please dont get jealous of her achievements and contributions.. try to see what she has done for female education… Also try to google some tolerance and equality keywords and learn some patience and respect… Feel sorry for your intellect and judement

  • Malala ki kaun tareef kerta hai? pagal hi ho ga koi, sari dunya main apny mulak k khilaf bolti hai

    • Sirif unawared aur uneducated pakistani hee kerta hai jealousy main but world over she is famous and notable for her contribution in female education… i believe you must be against it that’s why you dont like her…

  • Strange. How an Opposition leader in Pakistan can make top of the list. I mean Imran Khan can be No.1 in local rankings but in international rankings, why someone from France or from Germany admire him?

And in local rankings Bill gates and Musharraf does not make sense. Anyways, Congrats! ProPak staff your leader is on top.

    • اس گروپ کو اپنا نام تبدیل کر کے پرو پو ٹی آئی رکھ لینا چاہے

      • There are bigger welfare services than Shoukat Khanum. But for Youthiyas its like ” Imran khan ko vote do kyun k us ne world cup jeeta aur shoukat khanum banaya”. While dozens of cancer hospitals are offering free to cheap treatment services being run by Pakistan Atomic Energy commission and no one praises them.

        • It’s all about the political awareness he gave the nation and raised voice against corruption.

      • LOL @ “Like Shoukat Khanum ..”
Remind me a 2nd “social service” he has done.

        Kab tak hospital…?

        • He gave Pakistan political awareness and he is the one who raised voice against the corrupt mafia. see where is your leader nawaz now a days.

  • Imran Khan is no 20th in international ranking. :D he is below Trump. This shows the caliber of international rankings. The Heading is very misleading. IK barely made it and tht also below trum so wont count it as much.

  • Malala is far more better than this womanizer buffoon. Already our country is in dire straits. If this buffoon becomes our PM, our country is certainly doomed.

PS: propakistani please don’t block my comment.

  • Proud to see Malala and Imran Khan raise our country’s name in good standings… At least.. otherwise we as a rouge nation has very less that stands out..

    • People like you will die of shame I guess, self condemnation at its best.
If west is the criteria of a nation being good or bad then you shouldn’t even live..go die please.

      • “IGNORANCE” “BIGOTRY” “SUPPRESSION”… Google it and read..

Also try to look up to international media not UMMAT newspaper as your source… :D
