ASUS is launching a new smartphone in its ever-expanding portfolio of mid-range phones. The new Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes in a variety of options which means almost everyone could find a version suited to their liking.
The design is not much to write home about, except that the bezels are pretty much kept to a minimum. The inverted dual rear-lens also gives the phone a high-end look.
The display on the front is a 6-inch FHD+ IPS panel with 2160 x 1080 resolution.
Powering the phone is the mid-end Snapdragon 636 processor with either 3, 4 or 6 GB of RAM.
The storage capacity for the first of these variants is 32 GB, while for the remaining it is set at 64 GB. Storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. All variants are dual-SIM by default as well.
Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZenUI.
The camera options also depend upon the model chosen. The 3 and 4 GB RAM versions make do with a 13 MP sensor coupled with a 5 MP lens, alongside an 8 MP sensor on the front.

The battery capacity of all variants is set at a massive 5,000 mAh. Thankfully Asus outfitted the Max Pro M1 with fast charging, letting you top up an empty phone in 2.5 hours.
Currently, the phones are only available in India, the 3/32 GB variant will cost INR 11,000 (Rs. 19,200), 4/64 GB model INR 13,000 (Rs. 22,700), while the top end 6/64 GB version will come in at INR 15,000 (Rs. 26,200).
