Sony’s PlayStation 4 line of consoles recently reached a new landmark, after its maker broke the 500 million mark (though, the actual figure stands closer to 523 million now). And what better way to mark the occasion than a new limited edition PS4 Pro.
PS4 Pro Limited Edition
This edition of PS4 Pro comes with a translucent chassis, with a matching DualShock 4 controller and a PS4 camera. There’s a chrome plate on the front, which should tell you the serial number of the limited edition console.
Being a special model, Sony will only make 50,000 of these. The special edition also comes with 2 TB of storage, being the first model to come with this much space. It’s ideal for gamers who are unwilling to let go of those glorious, never-ending RPGs.
Lastly, a limited edition Gold Wireless Headset will be released with it, which will be available separately. The packaging itself is unique, coming in a translucent hue which shows the contents inside clearly. The translucent effect is quite similar to HTC’s U12+ released a few months ago.
Sony’s official statement reads,
PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition has been created to represent our appreciation to our loyal fans. We will continue to make PlayStation the best place to play for all, as does our continued commitment to expanding our library of great games and variety of network services.
As for the pricing, it is set at $499 for the bundle, which includes the limited edition console, a DualShock 4 controller and a PS4 camera. The translucent DualShock 4 will be available separately for $99, while the wireless headset for $99.
