While Pakistanis and Indians are believed to be bitter enemies of each other, two of the biggest fans of cricket – Pakistan’s Bashir also known as Chacha Chicago and India’s Sudhir – have become a true picture of friendship as Bashir has paid the ticket price for Sudhir, and has also vowed to cover his accommodation expenses.
On hearing of Sudhir’s absence from the Asia Cup matches, Bashir talked to his friend, assuring him to not worry about the expenses. Sudhir would have missed out the Pakistan-India clash had it not for Bashir’s big heart.
Pakistan’s superfan was more than happy to pay for his friend’s expenses:
It’s pure love. You know money will come and go with Allah’s grace. I told Sudhir you just come here and I will take care of everything. I am not a rich person but my heart is as big as an ocean. If I help you, Allah will be happy.
Both the fans have been often seen together in the crowds, holding Pakistani and Indian flags, sometimes swapping the flags to show the love for each other’s nations.
Sudhir was over the moon upon joining Bashir in Dubai where both will be supporting their teams.
I arranged my visa and Chacha sent me the return flight tickets. Now I am here to cheer my Team India. Chacha is taking care of all my expenses.
