Seasoned all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who was initially left out of the 17-man squad for the two-Test series against Australia, has been called up to resume duties.
The decision came on Monday morning after the selection committee revisited its decision to go into the series without Hafeez, who recently made a strong case of selection with his double ton in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match.

He played his last of the 50 Tests in 2016. The all-rounder will take off to Dubai to join the team on the first available flight.
Making Waves in the Domestic Circuit
Hafeez returned to the domestic circuit following his non-selection in the Asia Cup squad. Playing against the unbeaten Peshawar side, Mohammad Hafeez’s 213 powered his team Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) to 456/6 at the end of play on Day 2 in response to Peshawar’s 176 in the first innings.
The all-rounder seems to have gotten his rhythm back in the bowling department as well, as he took 6-62 against FATA in the second innings helping SNGPL thrash the opposition with an innings and 52 runs.
