The Rabiul Awal 2018 moon has not been sighted in Pakistan, therefore, Eid Millad-un-Nabi (SAW) will be observed on November 21, 2018.
The announcement came from chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman on Thursday.
The committee met in Karachi on Thursday with Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman in the chair. Scholars from all schools of thought as well as astronomical experts were present in the meeting.
The committee did not receive any testimony from any parts of the country regarding the sighting of Rabul Awal moon.
After the meeting, Mufti Muneed declared that the committee did not receive authentic testimony from any part of the country.
He said the 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal will now fall on November 10. He added Eid Millad-un-Nabi (SAW) would be observed on Wednesday, November 21.
