Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has once again taken lead by taking a sou motu notice of an incident that caused an uproar on social media.
On Thursday, a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) minister from Gilgit-Baltistan manhandled a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) official over a delayed flight.
A video, that went viral on social media shows the minister, along with a couple of men, arguing with a uniformed man who apparently was a PIA official (some sources have identified him as the Arrival In-Charge).
GB’s tourism minister Fida Hussain did not keep it to that but also set off a fire in the vicinity of Islamabad Airport as part of the protest.

Videos of these incidents, which have been making rounds on social media, caught CJP’s attention on Friday evening.
The top judge has sent summon notices to both parties – the minister and the manhandled official – for tomorrow, November 17.
