Punjab Food Authority has declared some top-selling cooking oils and ghee as unfit for consumption after a laboratory test.
PFA Director General Noor-ul-Amin Mangal has issued a public notice in national newspapers giving informing the public about the quality of everyday cooking products.
As per the notice, PFA conducted random sampling of cooking oils and ghee and after a lab test; it found that the following products are unfit for human consumption due to rancidity, lack of Vitamin A, artificial flavour addition, low saponification value and higher acid value.
