PIA to Take Strict Action Against Political Pressure in Postings and Transfers

The new management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) seems dedicated to making the national flag-carrier great again.

It had previously announced to roll out a ‘five-year roadmap’ to make it one of the best airlines again, and now, another step is being taken to purify the company from political interferences.

For this, PIA administration has circulated a notification, barring its employees from exerting political pressure to get desired postings and transfers.

The notification issued from the Chief HR on Wednesday read, “It is being observed that some of the employees are asserting political pressure for their transfer, postings and other service related matters, which is a clear violation of the code of the conduct.”

The organization has warned employees of strict disciplinary action in case of violations.

It asks employees to go by the book and use proper organizational channels to submit their grievances with the Grievance Committee.

“The employees are advised to take cognizance and refrain from using internal/external influence in their service matters, failing which disciplinary action will be taken against them. Grievances, if any, should be submitted before the Grievances Committee, for evaluation & action as per applicable rules.”
