Samsung seems to be trying to grab every market opportunity they can find and as such it comes as no surprise that they are launching two new colors of their Galaxy A8s in the Chinese market.
Samsung is actually branding these colors under Galaxy A8s FE, which stands for “Female Edition”.
The FE version of the A8s shares most of the specifications with the regular A8s.
Design and Display
The A8s FE comes with a glass and metal build which is no doubt premium construction for a phone and the rounded corners make it much easier to hold.
On the front, you still have the 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The weird aspect ratio is not because of a notch but actually, it’s because of the hole punch design of the A8s, dubbed the Infinity-O display.
It allows the A8s to have an all-screen design and with very minimum bezels around the side, it does look very good.

What’s new here in the FE version is actually the two new colors.
One of them has a pinkish shade on the lower half and white colored finish on the upper half. The second variant consists of blueish tint with a hint of pink too.
Hardware
The insides remain the same with a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and 128GB of internal storage. There’s no word on whether the A8s FE will come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
Cameras
As for the cameras, the setup consists of a 24MP f/1.7 main sensor backed up by a 10MP and another 5MP sensor.
All three have different focal lengths with the 24MP being the main super-wide angle sensor. The 10MP camera is a telephoto lens and the 5MP sensor is used for depth sensing in portrait shots.
The front camera which is placed inside the hole in the display is a 24MP sensor.
Battery and Availability
With the A8s FE having the same dimensions as the A8s, you get a 3,400 mAh battery. There’s also no word on the pricing of the A8s FE but it will be available starting 14th February in China only.
